Ingredients

  • 50ml of oil
  • 200g of onion
  • 150g of tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons of red chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • ½ tablespoon of turmeric
  • 2 teaspoons of dried coriander
  • 200g of green peas
  • 250g of minced meat
  • 6 green chili peppers
  • Some fresh coriander leaves
  • 1 lemon

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Pour 50ml of oil into a pan
  2. Chop 200g of onion and fry it until it becomes golden brown
  3. Add 150g of tomato paste and mix everything together
  4. Cook for a few minutes
  5. Add 2 tablespoons of red chili powder, 2 teaspoons of salt, ½ tablespoon of turmeric, 2 teaspoons of dried coriander, and thoroughly stir everything
  6. Put 200g of boiled green peas into the pan, stir, and cook for 5 minutes
  7. 8. Add 1 cup of water and cook for another few minutes
  8. Add 250g of minced meat and cook for 10 minutes or until the water evaporates
  9. Serve your keema matar with some green chili, fresh coriander leaves, and lemon

Tips

As you put minced meat into the pan, don’t forget to continuously stir it so it doesn’t cook in one clump.
